The Soham Carnival runs every spring, with an entertaining float procession through the town, a traditional heavy horse display and fun dog show.

Chippenham Gardens

The award-winning Chippenham Park Gardens’ Annual Easter Egg Hunt is held on Good Friday every year. With 15 acres of gardens, new bulbs and blossoms to see and the cosy Potting Shed Café serving delicious home-made hot food, drinks and cakes, this is a rare chance to explore the grounds, lakes and plant life which are only open on selected dates throughout the year.

Ely's Eel Festival Weekend, usually in May, is four jam-packed days of music, eel-inspired food and drink, and host to the World Eel Throwing Competition!

Windmill East Cambs

National Mills Weekend takes place across the UK every May and is a fantastic opportunity to get inside some of the windmills in the area and explore the local industrial history, including the only working 12-sided smock mill in the UK, located in Wicken.

Ely Sailing Club at Roswell Pits runs two free open days during May offering a unique chance to try sailing on the 35 acres of fresh water with islands, trees and banks. There are also powerboat rides, model yacht sailing, bouncy castles and BBQ.

G's Open Farm Sunday is an annual event in June at Hainey Farm, Barway. Expect tractor rides, local gourmet treats, cookery theatre and a fascinating tour inside the factory.
